Family Immigration Law
Leading families through a complicated system.
Being separated from your loved ones is hard enough, and inaction can lead to further financial burdens, application denials, or loss of lawful status in the U.S. But the system is complicated and hard to navigate on your own.
My services are for those who dream of being reunited with a loved one, who long for the sense of security that employment authorization or permanent residence can provide, and who hope to one day become citizens of the country they have long called home.
Above all, my services are for anyone seeking honest answers and realistic advice from an attorney who genuinely cares.
Taking action on your behalf.
When you’re going through the immigration process, it can feel like so many factors are against you and that you’re all alone in the struggle. I see you, and I understand the struggle. Let me carry the weight of this process for you. I will treat you not simply as a client, but as a fellow human being walking down this crazy, bumpy road that is the immigration system. I’ve been down this road before and know where the bumps are – follow my lead!
What are family-based immigration services?
Family-based immigration requires at least two family members. The petitioner—who must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident—can apply to sponsor a foreign family member (the beneficiary) for a green card. These processes fall into one of two major categories: immediate relative or family preference.
Immediate Relatives
Spouses, parents, and minor children of U.S. citizens. An unlimited number of immediate relative visas are issued each year.
Family Preference
All other qualified relationships, including adult children and siblings of U.S. citizens; and spouses, minor children, and unmarried adult children of lawful permanent residents. A limited number of family preference visas are issued each year.
Types of cases I take on:
Citizenship / Naturalization
I-90, Application to Renew or Replace Lawful Permanent Resident Card
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”)
Family-based immigration petitions:
-
- I-130, Petition for Relatives of U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents
- Adjustment of Status for Relatives of U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents
- Fiancé visa (K-1, K-2, K-3, K-4)
- I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence
- Consular Processing (applying for an immigrant visa while living abroad)
