Jenn Tello
Immigration Attorney
A powerful ally and fierce advocate for her clients.
Jennifer studied Sports Management and Spanish at Calvin University, where she made the Dean’s List all 8 semesters, studied abroad in Honduras and Mexico, and co-captained the women’s softball team. After graduating from Calvin and volunteering with Vida Joven in the Dominican Republic for a summer, Jenn worked as an administrative assistant for the immigration attorneys at a general practice law firm. Jenn later moved to Guatemala and lived there for a year before heading to North Carolina to earn her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. As a law student, she volunteered at Naturalization and Deferred Action clinics, served as co-president of the Immigration Law Society, and worked as a summer clerk at an immigration law firm.
After law school, Jenn worked as a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of Western Michigan, representing victims of domestic violence – many of whom were immigrant women – in divorce, custody, and personal protection matters. Jenn later practiced family-based and humanitarian immigration law at Immigration Legal Services at the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Jenn’s fluency in Spanish and passion for justice served her well in these roles and continue to make her a powerful ally and fierce advocate for her clients.
